Why members are happy they joined

  • The Association of Grantmakers in Alberta has been extremely valuable as a funder.  The opportunity to build relationships with other funders across the province, to better understand the funding landscape in Alberta, to learn from each other as we share best practices and our perspectives on a variety of topics with the aim of improving our grant programs and the impact they have on communities.  Staff have really enjoyed the learning opportunities; the conference, webinars as well as the community of practice discussions.

  • As a member of the Association of Grantmakers in Alberta, I have access to professional development opportunities that are relevant and specific to grant makers. But the membership is so much more than just PD opportunities. I am now also a member of a network of thought leaders who generously share their insight, expertise, and experience; a network that is committed to improving their respective communities. Through this supportive network, I can strengthen my own organizations so that we can better support Alberta’s charitable sector.
